Another vote for AutoAnything. I've bought a number of items from them and their prices and service are very good.
For over-the-stock-mats-in-winter idea, I'd get the thin plastic kind designed for this purpose. As far as I know there are two kinds for this purpose; the clear plastic kind with a shallow grain or the kind embossed with little octagons. I haven't tried the little octagon kind, but I bet they'll hold more slush and junk. I've tried the clear plastic kind on a couple of cars. They keep the stock mats clean and don't get in the way.
