It's one of those parts no one ever thinks about. Hell it goes far back as Model T's and beyond. I first learned about my muffler bearing when I was about 12 or so. education is the key to here. If we can inform our readers of such items, we are doing a great service

for reference, there is a muffler bearing on older volvo trucks :)

lol, that's what I figured about the Volvo given the work you do. Sarcasm, meeeee? But really, I agree, no one really realizes what it is. It will outlast any muffler.

As I leave my home each morning and walk down some stairs, a slightly translucent figure trips me and tries to stab me with an icepick. who are they and what do they want? Did the electric company get my check i sent them?

LMAO, we had to replace more of those than anything. they recalled them back to a regular style mounting muffler...all new brackets and everything. lol
