2006 Toyota Yaris 5dr. LiftBack Lowering Springs
I went to a local performance parts store here in Toronto today for some lowering springs. I was ready to buy the Tein S techs when they told me that they only make springs from 2007 and up Yaris models. I asked if there are other lowering spring that's compatible with the 2006 model and the guys said no.
Can I use the 2007 springs on the 2006 model? Thoughts? Last edited by yaya; 05-12-2009 at 01:28 AM. |

i believe you can use them!..
2006 and 2007 yaris liftbacks are the same car..its just that they didnt come out in the U.S. until 2007. (someone please correct me if i am wrong as i am still learning lol!!) I have a 2006 5dr liftback as well..and the same thing happens to me all the time..like when i bought my axle-back most of them were advertised to fit "2007+ 3dr liftbacks"..when searching online for parts or at places like canadian tire most of the time you will have to ask for parts for a 2007 yaris or else there will usually be no listing because the majority of their parts come from the U.S... |

I have 195/55/15 tires on mine. Do you think I should go for Tien S techs (1.9 1.9 drop) or Tanabe DF210 (1.6 1.8 drop) just a bit worried that the Tien's will settle more than 2"

other than springs...I'm looking into a cold air intake (whatever is available) and possibly some rear brace or a strut bar.
