I dunno why yours is so expensive; that is craziness. When I ordered mine, the guy actually made a point of mentioning that the price had just been reduced from 80-some down to the $30 I paid. He also said something about it being superseded by a different part number, but was still able to find it using the part number below. Maybe check another dealer in your area, and make sure the first dealer isn't trying to sell you the iPod connection kit?

And the plug, pre-wired in the car, shown at the sedan location. As you found, on the hatchback it should be around the gear shifter. This is harness D75, I believe, if you want to be technical. Note the four wires - 2 red, 1 green, 1 grey- and the grey plug.

I think the grey plug i found in my car is that exact one. Its crazy how u got your plug for 30 dollars, mine is going to cost 104 :(. But the part number is different. The one they are offering me is 8619052040. Thanks for the pictures dave

Lightbulb need help for Auxiliary Input 2008 yaris sedan

is there any way I can put an aux cable so that I can play an mp3/iPod through the headphone jack?

I can't find the the part like this post, so I'm doubtful.
