wow. lots of replies! thanks guys. i'm not too concerned about the insurance, just the car itself.

Tamago: unfortunately the mainland prices of evos don't transfer over here to hawaii. It is sickening to see the low prices of EVOs on the mainland compared to hawaii; especially supras. :P

it might break a lot because people tend to boost it up with no tune, well at least in my country, might break a lot if you take it to the track every weekend lol

so maybe if you treat it right you'll be fine.

ohh wait, it's an evo, no way you're not abussing it

OoOoOo

Honestly, with a budget of $18,500 and looking to purchase an EVO VIII. I would consider buying a BMW M3. With research and network you could possibly get an M3 for $18k flat.

gs430?

stay away from an $18,000 M3. it's gonna be your worst nightmare.

if that Evo were a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo, I'd say buy it. But, after owning an AWD car and heavily modding it, i would say it's closest to dating a stripper. Fun to drive and expensive to maintain. The attention you get can be both good and bad, depending how you look at it.

see what i mean?
