I say slow in relative terms, as in what the guy (who feels the need to do 50 in a 35) would think.

And at times I do 55 in the slow lane on I-91. That's the minimum safe speed to drive at on the highway (I can go quote my drivers manual too if you want - I keep it in the glovebox.) Also, the posted speed limit is subject to change due to weather conditions as well. In Massachusetts at least, it is possible to get a ticket for doing the posted speed limit if weather were to permit it -- say a light covering of snow on the ground. Something most people would tend to ignore.
