I have stock rims on my 1.8 TS. They are 17" x 6.5J and the offset is 52 mm with tyres 205/45/17.
My TS have a stock lowering of 0.5 inch and it gives no problems and no rubbing.

that's good to hear actually, more room inboard than previously thought.
