Rick Hendricks Toyota bad exp.

i was there today with my trade in and 1000 cash. the told me that i wasnt able to qualify for a 2008 yaris with 25000 miles for 12989. so the dealer told me that they cant approve me for the yaris but i qualify for a 2006 corolla S for the same price. or a 2003 saturn. they wanted to give me 3000 for my trade and i knew it was worth 3500. the dealer that i talked to tried to tell me tht he woulod give me 3500 if i was all in on the purchase with the 1000 so i waited for like 3 hours and then when i was back in the part department talkin to the guy they called me to the front of the dealership and asked me how do i like mini cooper that was 14989 instead of the corolla. i asked him where was i suppose to put my kid? in the trunk or the luggage rack? he walked away and came back and told me that i could get a 13999 prius.. i looked at him and told them to give me my keys back and they told me to wait for 5 mins i waited and then asked again for my keys. they looked at me and ask for me to wait again then the sales manager came out and sat down and was telling me that they wasnt gonna sell me something they would lose money on. i told him that i wanted my key and i dont need a car from them. he then replied to me that they ddnt come to my house and kidnap me and handcuff me to the desk. i looked at him a said "you have had my keys for 3 hours and every time i asked for them back you told me to wait. so you did hold me here." at the end the dealer asked if i was gonna come back tomarrow and get a car from them i told him no im not wasting another day with them and left.

i drove tot he mitsubishi lot and with in tree hours i had been approved and had a 2008 mistu lancer DE. im sry guys but mitsu got me for now. but i will not buy from them ever ever again.

that's pretty shitty. but like kuyachris says, i'd have gone to another dealership and taken those offers with me. and then played the game for a little while...

that sucks. the lancer gets terrible mileage and is slow. but i almost bought one too-- they look sweet. what i did was drive to a dif. toyo dealership; and they shipped the yaris i wanted to that second one, hah! :D

i don't understand... why one would not qualify for a 12989$ yaris, but qualify for a 14999$ mini cooper??

makes no sense.

they were trying to make more money off the other cars ..... that why i hate going to the dealership. I've gotten lucky though ive always bought my cars from carmax, they're are great the nice thing is that if the sales rep sells you $30k car or an $8k car they make the same commission so they don't try to upsell you once you've made up your mind on what you want.

Buying a car should be a joyful experience, however, the dealerships sometimes ruin that experience.

i don't understand why they constantly have to dick you around at a dealership. when i bought my yaris the actual sale went relatively smooth (i knew what i wanted and wasn't going to be sold on anything else) but after that day it took forever to get my car to me... constant calls and complaining to everyone at the dealership got me a few extra goodies. haha i'm sure the ones around here would get a lot more money if they weren't suck sleazy con men

I agree it should be. When I bought mine it was my first car got low interest no payments for 3months and I was out of the dealer in 2hrs, but congrats on your Lancer I like how they look nice car.

My dealership tried to put me in a Scion, the one that is looks like a Yaris on steroids. I walked away and the next day they told me they found the Yaris I was looking for with the options I wanted. I got a reasonable deal which I accepted because I was willing to wait for them to meet my offer. I ended up with a 5dr 2010 for a couple dollars less than my 2008 2dr Yaris.
