there are two types of codes in a generic sense
---- emissions ready (evap and whatnot) and normal ODB II --- SOME normal OBD II codes will not light up the MIL until they persist through a few engine run parameters before the ECU decides the code is real. so these are 'codes pending' and a good reader will show 'what is on deck' so to speak... any 30 dollar EBAY reader will be able to show 'what is about to code, but hasn't yet' you need CAN compatible http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Profe...item4837cd7a71 Last edited by 127.0.0.1; 10-19-2009 at 07:50 PM. |
