Mine came from another hobby of mine - backpacking.

It is traditional, especially on the Apalachian Trail, to have a trail name.

On one trip, my crummy old boots gave out and were tearing my feet up pretty bad. When I complained, one of my companions told me to play a sad, sad song on my violin.

The name stuck and I've used it on internet forums too, starting with backpacking forums.

When I originally signed up to this forum, I wasn't sure if I'd actually end up buying a Yaris and was too lazy to come up with a new name. Anyone know if I can change my name now?
