had a similar thing happen w/ mine
had to use an air impact wrench and a half can of liquid wrench to get the top apart other option: compress the spring to relieve the pressure on the plate, then hold the plate and use an impact wrench.....had to do something similar to that too.... edit: but now i see you got it apart...
