Has anyone else tried this on a pre-2010? It doesn't work on my 09, nor on Crashy, as neither of their ECMs support the OBD PID "01 46".

yeah I have a 2010 5 door US model automatic

here is the code I loaded

Ambient Air Temperature (F)
07DF0146 04410546 2808 00090005FFD8
AIR Degrees Fahrenheit

I haven't tested below zero, to see if it will throw a neg in there....

it only got to 9 degrees at home so far and my Yaris
blew me a 7, 8, 9, 11 all the way to work. it is dead-on accurate
(my home probe is on the sunny side, my Yaris is downhill from it, hence colder)

The other built-in indicator on the scangauge
(FIa) Intake air was showing 22-24 deg (not useful data)

After I tried it (and also tried it directly by CAN bus message to the ECM) I realized that you have a 2010. When I request the list of supported PIDs from the ECM 0146 is masked as an unsupported PID, so I have a feeling that ambient air temp is a new PID for 2010.
