after driving a 86 chevy scottsdale truck, 86 jeep cherokee, a 97 mazda 626, a dodge caravan, a few box vans(for work back in college), and now the 08 3dr 5speed all in the snow..... I'm a big believer in that the tires you have make by far the biggest difference in how well a car handles in snow than the car itself.
With that said... rear wheel drive vehicles can be a bit nerve racking sometimes if you don't have lots a weight in the back and good tires.... Oh and 4WD is a gimmick. |

unless all those vehicles you are doing circles around are running the same exact tires as you, your example is invalid. I used to pass snow plows @ highway speeds in my mazda when I had studded tires.... it was about the tire, not the car. And that mazda sure didn't have 4wd
