A full oil and plug service. The test say the crunk senors was bad, it also said the computer needed re learning. Did all of that no change. I need help

Got my passenger airbag, seat rail, and spiral cable done yesterday. No more airbag light and flashing seatbelt indicator. Yeah! Our 06 goes in for those three and two more recalls (don't 'recall' exactly what the other two are) in May or June, when the car comes out of hibernation.

Mine is going in to have its recall done on Monday. I have 3 recalls on mine.
Passenger Airbag Inflater Seat rail spring Drivers door switch I've been getting letters about it since 2014 at least but its only in the last 9 months that I could spare the car for a day to get it done. I called the dealer about this in July and it took them this long to get round to ordering the parts and booking me in. I think they were hoping to sell me a new car first. I kept getting letters about "scrapage schemes" it really burns my bacon how wasteful it is taking such lovely reliable cars off the road and scrapping them even though they have 10+ years running in them just to replace it with a newer less reliable vehicle which won't last nearly as long.

After getting letters in the post for probably close to 3-4 years I finally took Betty in to have her recalls done. Took it into Toyota at 9AM yesterday morning, sat down and had a coffee and used the wifi while they did the 3 recalls.
Took them about 2.5 hours. Passenger Airbag inflater Seat rail spring Drivers door switch All done. It must have horrified them to put so much work in on an 11 year old car. They did try and sell me a new one. I was like no thanks. Not even halfway through her life yet. ![]() I also seem to get less squeaking and rattling in the cabin now its all been out.

Ye, if you think about it they had to pull out the whole dash to change the passenger airbag. So they screwed again every bolt that had become loose Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Toyota Recalls
Quote:
It might be not that hard. Some screws here and there. And I assume they did this more than just one time so they know what to do. First time I took out my door panels took me about 5-10 mins. Now, after 3-4 times, I can do it in about 30 sec Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I called Toyota support today to find if there are any recalls for my car. Turns out I have to change both Takata airbags (I knew it anyway) and something I didn’t saw from anyone here referring : they need to check my driver’s window switch

Toyota Recalls
Also what about the front seat’s airbags? Aren’t they Takata, or they are just too cheap to issue a seat replacement?

The driver’s side airbag is easier to change anyway. I assume it will take less than 2 mins for them. Just call them and they will tell you. I think that you will have to change it too. The passenger side is the hard one thought, because they have to take off the whole dash. I am worried about it because they may scratch something or not screw it back, properly. I think I still have the link to the vin checker, so I'll have to keep an eye out for word on the driver side. |

Vin check for me wasn’t helpful. It showed that I have no recalls whatsoever, but I had 3. Just call them and ask. I called Toyota support they answered the phone right away, they asked me my license plate and the told me what recalls I have. I think you were lucky. I wish they will make nice job to me too. I called them they will order the parts and when they arrive, I will arrange an appointment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just got the passenger air bag recall notice for my '09 a few weeks ago.
So, today I took it to the dealer to have it repaired. It only took about 75 minutes . However, no one there could tell me what was involved in the repair and what had to be removed to replace the faulty inflator.. So, I removed my tach (simple) and emptied all the storage areas just in case. Does anyone know exactly what was involved and what had to be removed? Everything seems in order when I got my Yaris back. |

I've had the dealer remove the whole dash back in 07 and involves removing the pillar covers and the passenger air bag is attached to the dash. Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk |

Throttle issues
Hi Les here. When we bought our 08, about one year later we were coming down an off ramp and when I got on the throttle the engine powered down. I put the pedal to the floor and it would'nt respond. Took it to the dealership and they said they moved some sensor from one cylinder to another. It has never done it since. As this car was ordered from the factory we had cruise control added. I have had a few recall notices issued telling us to bring it in and have the unit disconnected?Probably some issues with the fly by wire and external interference. Never had any issues.
