Manual Sedan
-Yeah, that seat belt buzzer needs to go. Very annoying if you have a long driveway and need to stop and get out to close a gate.
Now to nitpick- these are really no big deal, but I would change them if I had my 'druthers. -I don't like the fact that there was no cassette deck offered, but I've since fixed that. -The electronic throttle - I guess its okay, but what was wrong with the mechanical throttle? I've noticed that it is slow to respond sometimes whereas a mechanical throttle would be more precise. I don't like extra electronics where they aren't needed. -Someone mentioned the finnicky clutch. This was my first manual ever (after driving auto for 8 years) so I'm getting used to it, take offs are getting smoother, and I rarely stall the engine anymore. Now I know why autos are called "slush boxes", with a MT all the power seems instantly available compared to the autos. -Wish the diesel engine was offered in the US, I'd be all over that like a mofo, that or the 3 cylinder gasoline engine. 106 hp is too much, I'm only hauling my sorry ass to and fro, not a load of bricks. -I love everything else about this car. Its really so much more satisfying to drive rather than a giant boat of a pickup, even though the smaller engines mentioned above would give better fuel economy, its better than what I had before. -It looks like a cicada. I don't know if thats good or bad but its growing on me. |

My first new car was a Saturn SL2. To my memory that thing was like a feather being blown around in wind. My Yaris, while being light, actually feels much more stable overall than my Saturn used to feel.

Man, I'm liking this car more every day, even with the buzzers. I am thinking about putting in some truck horns though.
