bad:
Gets thrown around by the wind more than other small cars Sometimes the engine stayes revved for a along time after I let off the gas Slight delay in throttle response No folding rear seat standard No side airbags standard Good: Plenty of power for me (I almost never floor it) Incredible MPG Smooth ride for it's price looks great inside and out |

3 door 5speed hatch
Dislikes: I don't like how much it moves with the wind when on the highway, want the lowering springs (hope that helps) Minor dislike of the "Bug" antenna (I want the BMW fin off ebay) No side airbags Likes: Very peppy (I chose the car for the "good" reasons, good on gas, inexpensive, but was pleasantly surprized with the fun factor) The growing aftermarket support smooth transmission compaired to other cars I've driven(need the TWM short shifter The overall look of the car with tinted windows. MP3, 6 disc changer Cup holders (I think these are different in the sedan) The look on peoples faces when they get in for the first time and see how much room is in there Pure potential for the car.(It'll never be a rocket, but it can be extreamly fun to drive!! *insert suspension, frame stiffening, turbo(150whp would be fine), exhaust, body kit* ![]() It'll never be a G35 or IS250/350(my favorite cars right now) but it'll blow away anything in it's class or even some classes above in my opinion. 3 door 5 speed
LIKE overall pleased for what I've payed for WOULD LIKE longer wheelbase and longer car overall - the HB is really too short, I don't see why Toyota wouldn't add 5 more inches to the rear, it would look better and would give more trunk space 4x4 OEM suspension ![]() rear whipper standard please Last edited by hystria; 12-26-2006 at 03:46 PM. |

You know... I've heard this a lot, but honestly, I feel this car gets tossed around way less by wind than the '05 PT Cruiser (total piece of crap, I might add) we traded in for it, and we get some strong wind around here.

2dr LB for me
dislikes: just a hair *too* tall, I'd like the roof to be a bit lower in relation to the floor. stock tires seem pretty weak in wet conditions steering wheel too far away when the seat is all the way back, in relation to the pedal and shifter distance no tach????? interior begs to be scratched likes: center mounted guages - wierd at first, learn to love em! acceleration/handling is solid, well, enough :) stock cd player was pretty dam good, along with stock speakers! of course, they will all get swapped out anyway lots of nifty storage areas the seats fit me perfect (6'1"/215) awesome visibility feels very big inside... although the roof is a little *too* high as noted above 1nz-fe, fun little motor with lots of untapped potential :) the overall look of the car, I think its *perfect* without that dopey top antenna and the "toyota" and "yaris" rear emblems. I like... the car btw, highway stability has been great for me... much better than the loose suspension cars I've had in the past... those could get scary. As stable as say a 3000gt, big/heavy/wide/low.... nah... but stable enough to comfortably go 90-100 even in moderate winds, definitely. |

I agree. My 5dr liftback does a great job cutting the wind. If it had wider rims/tire (instead of the 175/65/14 setup) it'd probably become as stable as most of the larger sedan. But as is, it's still does an above average job with the dinky tires.

3-door LB Auto w/Power Pkg.
LIKES: Driver's glove box Dash Cupholders Center Gauges Good looking Enkei wheels Handling--I can finally do a U-turn without leaving the road! Peppy for such a small engine Great gas mileage even when I put my foot in it Cargo space with back seats laid out Plenty of space in driver's seat (leg room, head room, etc.) Cute-ability factor (it's just so F'ing cute!!!) DISLIKES: The way my right knee feels on the 15th hour of a 16 hour road trip. The fact that anyone riding with me in the car knows how fast I'm going (the only thing I don't like about the center gauges) |
