You're referring to the EMMA staging track IIRC...

Looks good, the end results are worth the sacrifice! it doesn't matter if it doesn't looks as nice, you won't see it any way. But you will hear/feel the difference.

Good job

Besides the difference in specs between subs I would share that you can make any subwoofer sound/feel great! with a proper installation and tuning.

Yes their are better woofers than others, and some work better with your current car conditions and system, it's a matter of trial and error, but you can still use some science to accomplish good BASS.

Take in mind your goal, if you want to share your music with your neighborhood or for your self. Many years ago I had a car with two 12" in ported boxes, you could hear/feel my car 3 or 4 blocks away!!!

Now putting that into perspective...

My little 6" subwoofer sounds and feels 100 X better than my two 12's did "inside" the car.

2cts.

After pushing the BS HAT bandwagon, seeing & listening to all the top SQ vehicles in the world...

...I completely agree with D's last statement. With the ability to tune, you can be reasonably assured that any good quality woofer can be made to sound awesome. Brand be damned.

D's rocking with the 6"s, I'm rocking with an 8". I still have that really nice ML3800 that can launch the roof off my car if needed.

I dont want to lose any sound qualilty and gain more valume with the same power

i like 8"subs but wanting much more hit feel sound than one or two 8" subs will do . just don't want to step backwards on what i have to what i want without any loss. i know the true way would be to install them i want to do this right the first time if that's possible

no only if i was to roll my windows down maybe but thats not how i roll

I am looking to get the feeling the sound wants to push you out of the car but it stays trapped in for my listening pleasures . having such a small car but with big sound was my plan all along . most people around don't know whats inside or have heard whats inside but me and few others . I would like to think i grew up ! but some times i wonder

You should really look for an SQ car (a good one) and get a demo.

I get people drooling about my little 6" woofer after they hear it, like I said before even the IASCA judge was impressed. The key feature here is once you get a good approach to recreate the "Natural" sound of the recorded music not only in the subwoofer area the outcome it's awesome.

But I understand your point of view and I also understand that to do all these a good digital sound processor is need it, so in some cases 'yes' more is better.

I suggest you to read and learn as much as possible from your subwoofers, there are good people out here that can suggest a good match between subs, enclosure and watts. And set a goal but remember there is no cooking instructions on what works best, even a single click on the EQ would make a woofer sound good or really bad. It's about testing, trying and trying again and again. Every car it's different, even our ears are so different, what sounds good for you may not sound good for others.

Just go for it! don't be afraid to experiment.

The P99 it's a DSP it self, and many others like Bit-One, Mosconi has one too, Audio Control, JBL MS-8, even Alpine and many more.... they could get very expensive though (average $1k). but I'm not your best sales guy. I like the P99 because it's all in one and works really good.

With a DSP there many functions that let you control, like:

-Levels
-Cross Over points
-Slopes
-HPF
-LPF
-Phase
-Time Alignment
-Left + Right Equalization
-and more... But these are the ones I really like!

They are small like a HU and/or big as a small amp.

i will look into one im not much fan for alpine, kenwood, pioneer, jvc

i am going to do some research i have used audio control many years ago but i am open to most other brands depending on size and price. i am very picky though looks like user friendly is a must for me and i know i want to hide mine. less seen the better for me the audison looks pretty cool from the pic you posted . you know 26 years ago i was using sixes and eights for subs with carver car amps if you have ever seen some older car audio products before ?

Also look into the Arc Audio processor. There are others out there as well...zapco has one as well as PPI.

I've used the bit one and bit ten with great results.

And what did I accomplish.... A BEFORE & AFTER! (this is just the begining... I end up with more than 50 RTAs tweaking here and there)

BEFORE...

AFTER...
