Doesn't the window fog up faster when you have it set to recycled air and defroster mode?

In the winter I usually use recirculate for the first 5 minutes of driving, then switch to fresh air when the engine is a little warmer and the windows are just starting to fog up. Technically recirculate (or blower fan turned off) should help the engine heat up quicker, because you're not pulling as much heat out of the coolant when you're heating up recirculated air, as opposed to much colder outside air, for example. |

I keep it turned off for the first little bit till the engine's starting to warm up. Doesn't feel great to get in a cold car and just blow the cold air around.
