AT fluid change interval?
I haven't seen a recommendation on when to have the AT serviced in my manual.
Anyone know the AT fluid change interval? |

It should be in your passport. I think somewhere around 100k.

Never "needs" changing according to Toyota. Weird stuff. My brother talked to a service guy about his Xb's AT fluid and the guy said the way Toyota makes the ATs - the fluid is good for the lifetime of the car. I still want to put Amsoil AT fluid in at about 50K though.

So the AT has a regular drain plug?

It does, but there is no drain interval specified by Toyota.

I am swaping over to Amsoil 75W-90 for my trans as soon as I get a day off of work and have some time to myself, luckily our trans only takes 2 quarts (manual trans that is)

Regardless what the dealers say all mineral based oils need to be changed sooner or later.
Personally I replace my synthetic autotrans fluid and filter every 75,000-100,000km For manual transmissions I use Amsoil 75W-90 and Never change it however I do drain it, filter it through a coffee filter and re-use it. this removes and harmful debris and water from the oil.

use the drain plug on the bottom of the trans to drain, and use fill hole on the side of the trans to fill it :)

I'm going to call the dealership. I'm sure they have a AT service offer.
