How come my coolant is green and how does coolant drip upwards to the hood, and with that much leaking coolant there would be a significant puddle under the car after parking a while..

It only leaks out once the system is hot and under pressure. It comes out of the water pump shaft, and gets sprayed when it hits the spinning pulley.

Your coolant is green because someone has done a service and used the incorrect coolant. It goes onto the hood cause when the water pump starts to go out it leaks through the weep hole. And as the water pump pulley spins it flings it in a rotational pattern spraying all around it including the hood.

My coolant has been green since the day i bought the car,as for 33k miles on the pump something aint right as My previous Echo went 220,000 and still had the original WP when i sold it,my current Echo has 120,000 with original WP says the previous owner and just turned 60k with no WP issues on the Yaris ,in fact asking around the factory no one who owns a Toyota has ever changed a water pumpcould the shaft be a little bent and be causing premature bearing failure on your particular engine?
