After 45 years of driving cars with no cabin air filter and since i drive with windows down most of the time this cabin airfilter is just a money making gimmick for the dealer or auto parts companies. I drive without one.

OK, that is definately an opinion based on your perceptions.
However most do find a cabin filter very worthwhile.

If your air is so clean perhaps you are also wasting money on engine air filters and they are a scam?

Not saying the air is clean but that air filter isnt doing anything to make the air in the car cleaner if i'm driving with widows open.

At the very least, it can prevent anything from falling into the fan and/or getting clogged in your ducts.
You can get one for as little as $12US. It's cheap insurance.

Anyway, I would wager that there are some times when you do roll the windows up. Let's be honest here.

This is the only reason I put a filter in mine.
