Just did another rotation at 25,000 miles. Probably will get over 50k on the Bridgestones.

1. don't buy tires from the dealer.
2. buy some snow tires/rims 3. search kijiji in the GTA for tires 4. if you want/need them, i have some used 14" steelies w/ snows on them that'd last you the winter for $100, if you come out to get them ill even put them on your car for you, and im off all week.

i have actually been in an accident before due to dead tires. i can drive my yaris with drift tires across ice, it is my baby and if i feel the slightest danger i slow right down and drive the way i have taught myself i should. on the other hand, my yaris being my baby does not make my walet deeper, still got bills to pay and i do not see a way to get new tires till around spring.

It only took 1/4" of snow for me to see the light and bolt up some winter boots. I honestly thought I'd not make it home from work. Brampton to Burlington due to zero grip and a hilly route.

You should have rotated twice and balanced once, at least, if not more than that. Strange tire wear should be expected if you don't rotate, and ya the rears can go faster. Also, nothing unbalances a wheel faster than burnouts.

now everyone keeps saying stocks are shitty and will wear faster, but my tires only have between 38000 and 39000 km on it, that means ~23000 - 25000 miles. that seems very shitty......
i am really tempted to go to toyota and get my alignment checked (hopefully i can convince them for free) cuz i do not understand how my rear end basically dog legs across the road and eats the tires....

I have pretty crappy tires that came with my Yaris, that I bought brand new at the dealership. 3 out of 4 of my tires have had a nail in them! So now its about time I get new ones, but which kind?

I have 43,000 miles on my Yaris and my tires still look almost brand new. I did rotate my tires before the beginning of summer as the fronts had a little wear on them. I thought about getting new tires but its just stupid to pay for new tires when the OEMs will last a good while.
Not sure why some are getting such poor performance from the OEM tires. I have the Bridgestone OEMs, maybe there are other providers to Toytoa. Some of you guys drive with more PSI than the tire is rated for and that might cause premature wear.

^^ hey hey hey u too, are u trying to steal my thread? lol, jksjks.
just an update, i know this will probably be old news to most of u, toyota employees are about as dumb as they get.... (sorry to anyone who works at toyota, maybe u work at a good dealership) i looked at my front tires and they are very good, i can get another 25000km on them without getting to the stops without issue, now the rears on the otherhand have about half of that of the fronts. i will be going by toyota hopefully with in the next week and getting the rear of my car diagnosed.

I rotate mine in the garage every other oil change. Granted I have an air wrench for the lug nuts. But it takes about 10 minutes for me to do all 4, considering jacking up the car and such. Makes a big difference in tire wear. My OEM Goodyears look like new at 15k miles
