Don't count on it - oil is short all round, and we're paying the price as we're probably the last generation who will use it as a "regular" thing. The sooner people start finding alternatives, the better.

Officially passed $4 up here in my area of MA. $4.09 reg at the highest one.

It's still only April for god's sake. June/July is usually peak time. The only other time it passed $4 was around July of '08.

At this rate, $5 is definitely around the corner.

$4.10 for 87 w/ ethanol . Took new base model 2011 FIT w/ 5 speed auto for a trip of 226.9 miles and tank was a little below 1/2 . Refilled with 5.889 gals. at 1 click of nozzle . The FIT display showed overall average of 39 , it got 38.52 m.p.g.. This was 2 people , tires at 34+1/2 p.s.i. , winds up to 20 m.p.h. ( head on at times ) , overall speed of 46 , 30% city , 70 interstate / state roads , many steep hills to climb , and temp of 58 . FIT on par of what the 2010 3 door with 4 speed auto would of got for mileage .

Gas has gone above $1.40/L in Toronto now. That's about $5.20/gallon if you consider the Canadian and U.S. dollar at par.

This is after an increase of almost $0.10/L in the past two days.

I was wondering what the price swings are like in the U.S.? Do you guys see the price change by $0.25-$0.30/gallon over night?

what i would love to see is something that tells us what the impact of taxes and discounts are.

I'd rather move to Kuwait or Dubai. Crazy rich and the money just flows.

I don't think thse actual gas prices are that accurate.
I think the gas price in Belgium is at least probably $1 above this.

In the Netherlands it is making us crazy but the people who use the car the most do have company cars.

The gas price here is know: $ 9.50 for a US gallon.

I know we are not a country with their own oil but a difference of more than $ 3-9 per gallon is crazy.

Where it's very expensive, the government taxes it heavily, where it's dirt cheap, the government subsidizes it.

The price of oil is the price of oil (with some variance in exchange rates), just depends on what the ruling class wants it to cost.
