well put Lewis...if stop/start is standard and doesn't come with a big price tag it might have the edge with fuel economy/green car identity

Yes Stuffy - I agree 100%- That's the only thing that'll get me out of my 09 and into a '12. I'm not holding my breath because the Toyota marketing approach in the US seems to be - if you want to have high mileage- we have this $26K Prius we sell you.
