Does fine on hills. I did a cross country trip with my liftback LOADED and had little trouble going through the mountains and hills on the way. Mountain driving with it empty or just my bike on the back is no problem, and really fun.
I don't know about the sedan, but I'm 6 feet tall and have plenty of room in my liftback.
