If there isn't a check engine light on, then a scan tool (like the ones at AutoZone) will not help you.

Besides, guys, I don't think there are any AutoZones in Ireland.

If it doesn't go away after the vehicle is warm, then it sounds like an idle air control valve to me. I see them everyday. It may just need to be cleaned out- I'm not sure if yours is on top of or under the intake manifold- wherever it is, pull it out, spray carb cleaner through it until the carbon buildup is gone, and re-install. If the problem persists, contact your Toyota dealer. They, and only they, have a new computer (just released to dealerships) that can pull a history and health check- it pulls all codes and diagnostic information stored in your ECU. At that point they can make a determination as to what is wrong- even if there is not a check engine light on.
