I actually see quite a few Yaris sedan taxi's around where I live, but i've never seen a hatchback version.

Odd color combo though. I don't know why they went with silver bumpers and mirrors on a yellow car.

In the US? Really? I hear some areas use Prius's but I've never heard the Yaris sedan being used.

I've never seen a Prius taxi but i've seen the Yaris sedan taxi's.
If I see one again, i'll try and snap a pic. The one around here doesn't look like a normal taxi though, it's not yellow like most are. The one i've seen is silver, the only thing that gave it away was the taxi thing on the roof.

The taxis are often black, grey, or silver originally. Then, they paint them the required standard yellow... with the newest trend leaving the bumpers and mirrors the original colour.

Using a Yaris as a taxi makes perfect sence, excellent gas mileage low maintanance cost = good business.
