The only drawback of this placement in our vehicles is if you have SRS airbags in those pillars. Can you imagine a tweeter killing someone because it was mounted in the a pillar and got launched at an occupant during a crash?
Kickpod in that instance is probably the most applicable location. I know you're going to have fun if you have a manual transmission.

Good point! If you look at the pics I took, you can see the flat area where the tweeter could mount is a little rebated/offset from the exploding dash panel. If you could get a flush mounted tweeter using the stock A-pillar I don't think you'd have a problem. |
