Proper head work is not cheap, and is worth it.
Can't wait to see the flowbench numbers!!!

5K is so over the top it's almost laughable. Unless it takes over 50 hours to complete...

I had my 351 Cleveland 4V Heads worked out for half that, and it's double the work.

Here's the break - down

Cause the work is not 5,200 it's the whole head.

800.00 for head new from TRD
1,600.00 JUN cams
1,300.00 titanium Ferrera valve train gas filled valves
1,500.00 for Tom Fujita to do the head work and lash.

You get what you pay for. And were not talking common V8 stuff.

And way to go, moc the most renouned head builder in the industry. What are we 5 years old?

That's a reasonable breakdown, and $1,500 is about right IMO. I miss-interpreted the OP to mean the head work alone was $5,200. You can understand why I was skeptical...

A side note, the Cleveland is not "common V8" but I wouldn't expect a lot of the people here to know that...not really their cup of tea.

For $5200 you could probably get a LQ4, 4L60E, a megagizz to run it all and probably a Ford 9" too... but it wouldn't be the same :)
