It is clear for me that the lengthiest wire is the one that goes to the ECM (ECM pin 40-D3 connector).
One of the two short wires you sent me is for ground and there's another one that I don't know what it is for.

It's not been clear to me on vince87's DIY pdf all things related to D3 connector, One wire to the ECM, but about the other two, where do I plug the wires that connect in D3 ( the other end of the wires), if one is ground, what about the other. The small one that is not ground go from where to where?

Sorry if am asking dumb questions I just want to do this right.

Rather than the Vince DIY, look at my DIY (link below), which is a bit more complete. Basically, you will connect the larger pin to the ECM, run a wire from it to the column area, stick the other two pins in the appropriate spaces in the spiral cable connector D3 (under the column), connect one to the wire to the ECM and the other to ground.

I made the connections as per the images below.
Pin 40 fully seated at correct location.

Connection at D3 connector.

sadly no cruise, checked for voltage at the wire before reaching the A21 connector with the ignition switch in the ON position and the meter shows 0.00, no power at all.

Am sure the terminals are fully seated because clicked in to place, after unlatching the locking mechanisms.

Your DIY was very helpful, it is a very complete guide.

On the D3 connector pin #2 went to a bolt (ground), pin#1 was spliced to the yellow wire coming from the ECM connector.

how can I continue to troubleshoot my installation.
