I've installed a couple cold airs on the yarii and I have always removed the bumper, I dont like having to contort all kinds of ways to adjust the intake its just way easier once the bumper is on the ground. As for that intake it does look kind of off. I believe usually the air filter is a little lower and not backed up against the front bumper.
