Thanks, very clear. What does the cover removed in photo 2 do, and how do you put it back? Mine has a small white square plastic post underneath it.

The cover has a horse shoe shaped recess in the end, when you prize the cover out, the clip may or may not be supposed to come with it, either way do not try to get the white one out on its own, you end up snapping the top part off and then the cover will not sit back in without a little imagination. normally however the white clip goes into the cover then you pop the cover back on to put it back. Just carry on as this guide shows, when you start to pull the main panel off the clip just pops out with the rest of them.
