To me, 50 series tires are low enough; mainly because I like the slight "poofiness" of the sidewalls with a slightly higher profile; Stock IS300 tires are 215/45-17 and I want to go to 225/50-16.

I has hoping there might be a casting that says, "xxx kg" where xxx = about 600.

How much is your car lowered and with what setup? It looks like the perfect setup I am thinking of.

Oh well. I really appreciate that you took the time to look anyway!
its dropped on tanabe df210 springs. I believe its like a 2 inch drop all around. when I bought the car it had 215./45/17s which were awful and rubbed if I ran over a stick.

Are the fenders rolled or shaved or modified in any other way? I've been thinking of going 16" as well...

rear fenders are rolled and rear wheel well liners are removed. With a slightly thinner tire you would probably be fine.
