TPS problem...

Before you take it to a dealer, try this:

Near the throttle pedal, there is a connector with aprox 4 wires that is very close to the firewall. remove and re-insert the connector. When you get it apart, get some DAMPENED micro fiber cloth and wipe the pins that insert into the plug. I had the same problem and it was a loose connection/poor contact in the tps connector. Please do it quickly! Mine started with the dead-pedal scenario and one day went to full throttle without my doing anything. After cleaning and redoing the contacts, I have not had it reoccurr. you need to squese the connector lock in order to take the plugs apart. It's really simple but you need to squeese hard. I used a 4 1/2 inch channel lock plier to do it.
