possibility to do hub conversion from 4x100 to 5x1XX
is it possible to change the original wheel hub on this yaris to a 5 lugs one ?
it's easier to use a wheel adapter to make the conversion, but it's PITA to find wheels with a really high offsets ..+50 and up ... here's my all time favourite wheels : http://i964.photobucket.com/albums/a...0/HPIM0196.jpg any input ? |

In theory the xD hubs can be swapped, but I don't know if anyone has successfully done it.

Let's take a look at villagescionparts.com and toyodiy.com to see what the part numbers look like...
The rear beam assembly is the same on the Yaris and xD, so the rear hubs should be a direct bolt-on. The front steering knuckle is also identical, but the drive shafts have different part numbers. It's possible that they're different spline patterns, but it could just be a different diameter or length. Looks like it's do-able with a drive shaft swap, since the transmission and differential are identical on the Yaris/xD. Not cheap, even through a salvage yard, but if you're really set on those wheels, it may be your only choice... |

I guess that would fall into the category of "buy, test, fabricate and report." The alternative is to contact the manufacturer and see if they will do a one-off of the style you want in a 4x100 pattern. If they are in fact 2- or 3-piece wheels, it would be much simpler to have a new center produced than a whole gravity cast or billet wheel machined.

there could be plenty of reasons other than the wheels to upgrade to a 5 bolt that would make it worth it?
