Its been about 4 years since I had to replace mine because it came loose and flew off. I could be wrong but this is what I remember its been a while so I may have forgotten something.
The end plate itself is the nut. You need a tool that has pins on it that will fit in the small holes your talking about and then you use that to tighten it up. I put thread lock on mine about 90k ago and its been fine. If you have access to tools and have some experience you may be ok but other wise just take it to a local shop and ask them what they would charge to give it a quick tighting up and I am sure they can help you out. It should be as easy as sliding the tool between the fender and the pulley and giving it a turn. if it comes loose and fly's off your will find you need to buy a used compressor and take the parts off it as the dealer does not sell the pulley with out the compressor which is very expensive.
