i get gas as soon as the last bar starts blinking.. i can be 2 blocks away, it start blinking and ipull into a gas station and fill it up and i can STILL get 10-10.3 or so gallons into the car. So i am going to say that its a gallon on the filler neck alone.

You'll want to watch that... It my understanding that the car cools the fuel pump with gas in the tank, so running it down to the bottom is harder on the pump. May not matter, but I think the manual mentions filling up at 1/4 tank (two bars on the digital gauge) for just this reason.
