Yaris 2009 vs 2012 - Toyota Yaris Forums

The diesel-engines has always been a regular part of pretty much any car-series, but I would be willing to give that up in a heartbeat if we could lower the taxes on cars...

In Denmark we pay 180% (yes - thats one-eighty) in taxes when buying a car thus meaning that the cheapest Yaris a 1.0 TL (the step before T1) costs 120.000 dkr = $20.700
Another aspect is we only get T1 and T2 models for most of the cars however on a few of the bigger models it is possible to get T3 and for the Avensis even T4...
A Landcruiser D-4D 3.0 T3 costs $166.500 and the Avensis T4 D-CAT is $90.500

But all available in diesel :-)

After much carefull reading I've come to the conclusion that there is no reason to buy an outdated model. The new one gets better mileage and has better brakes as well as a higher NCAP-rating.
