I don't have any experience with this device, but do with AEM F/ICs. Reading that Prius article, it really doesn't appear that they were successful in their use of the device.
Also, Since it requires the separate controller for configuring it, the cost for it is $140. I have purchased AEM F/ICs for as little as $200. The website does not provide access to to manual for it to see if any cabling is included (The F/IC includes a harness, which would run about $45 to purchase separately).
