I like my Michelin Defenders. I have 20K miles on mine and they are hardly showing any signs of wear. I believe they are rated at 90K miles, so you shouldn't need to replace them anytime soon.
I got mine at Discount Tire......Michelin runs a $70 rebate program regularly, so I would wait until one is running before buying a set. That will essentially pay for the mounting & balancing, so you are only paying for the tires themselves (which are about $115 apiece). They're not the cheapest tires out there, but they do last a long time. |

I too like my Defenders. Cost me $499. total at Costco.
Michelin really knows how to make/design tires. I would not buy some off brand if there anywhere near $100., just makes no sense to me. ![]() Quote:
