after my light starts blinking, i usually wait another 40 miles or so before i get gas. the light will start blinking faster and faster. usually if i wait this long, i can get a little under 12 gallons of gas in the car. it has to be the filler neck.

Save yourself the trouble... there were a few members doing this, and it ruined their fuel pumps. Our fuel pumps use the fuel running thru it to cool it, and by going that long with so little fuel in the tank, you risk becoming a member of the burnt out fuel pump club.
