The "FCC ID:MOZB41TG" ones are what are normally found in a Yaris. The one that I have is from a 2006 Canadian Yaris, which is why it doesn't have the FCC ID.

Did you check the new one?

The new one doesnt have any writing on it at all

Now that I think about it, since it does not have any of the FCC info on it maybe it does need to be "programed" by the dealer. I am thinking I would be better off buying a used key and swapping the electronics into a new shell.

The lack of FCC info only means that it is likely a poor quality Chinese clone (as anything sold in the US that transmits RF has to have its FCC ID).

I think you are correct with the used key route.

Crap. I should have known. My 2007 key fob won't program, either. Nothing like a good pain in the butt.

Another Big Thanks directed to CTScott!!!

By reading that Remote Start Install Primmer, I learned my 2007 Yaris didn't have a "chipped" key - via the pics of the two different Ignition switches.

Made replacing my lost key a very modest $3.79 adventure (tax Incld) at my local ACE Hardware.

Got love it!
