Ok, here are some pics of my setup. I was sad to see the chrome tip go, but i still have not done anything about it the past year so it can not bother me that much right?
 close up from behind , you can see the silicone coupler used to stop vibration / noise.   no cutting was required.  but bending was required. took 5 mins
