Some easy and relatively cheap mods make things a little more enjoyable:

1.) Light-weight crank pulley: Frees up a little power and gives the car some extra pep. look for one on the for-sale section or head over to microimage to pick one up.

2.) Short-shift kit: Makes shifting a lot more enjoyable, and fixes the stock mushy emotionless shift throw. Same deal as #1, look on microimage or scoop up one from someone selling one here.

3.) Handling: Take your pick -- lowering springs, struts, a rear sway bar. A better suspension can make a slow car more fun because you can stay quick throughout the twists and turns. Ditto for getting stuff: MI or the FS section.

Just a quick few things that I've done that are relatively cheap and have yielded some more driving enjoyment (my #3 is lowering springs, BTW). I'm sure that some other folks on here will have some more ideas and help if you need it.
