I don't think the Honda Fit can get close to 40 MPG. The Yaris is more aerodynamic in the front than the Fit.
I constantly get 42 MPG in my sedan. A few days ago, I spent 20 mins looking for a parking spot on campus, and tonight there was a concert going on on my campus, so I was in stop and go traffic for about 15 mins. I just fueled up my yaris on my way home, and i got 41 MPG!!! I still can't believe i got 40+ mpg while idling that long. Plus most of my trips are in town driving, and about 20% highway. |
