With my 1.0 2009 HB I get 4,8l/100km, afaik about 48MPG :P
Including driving with 80 MPH on the Autobahn ;)
My Trick: Not kicking the accelerator beyond half and having bought one with manual transmission :)

Having a 1.0 engine (in a Yaris).....I wish = a trick easy to pull off in the U.S.
