Yes - Some have for various reasons.
You use an E10 socket (basically an inverse torx socket) to remove the bolts. An 8mm normal socket will work if the bolts are not corroded. There is the passenger occupancy system built into the seat, as well as the seatbelt sensor. To keep the SRS (airbag) ECU happy you can use my Occupant Classification Sensor Bypass Module, which is sold by Micro Image: http://shop.microimageonline.com/sea...keywords=ocsbm It simply plugs into the OC ECU, in place of the harness that would normally connect to the sensors under the seat.

Fault light stays lit (as mentioned above) and the rest of the airbag system will likely not do its thing in a crash, since the system is in a fault state.
