AUTO only way to go

I have owned 3 yaris in 5 years 2 auto, and one manual. I can tell you by experience the Autos are much more pleasant to drive and better resale value and mileage about the same if driven correctly

I had a 2007 stick, 2009 auto and now a 2014 stick. same exact commutes and driving styles, the sticks gave me 5-6 mpg's more (38 mpg vs 43-44 mpg's). a stick doesn't depreciate any faster. final resale value being higher in an auto is irrelevant because the auto costs more in the first place.

The first of those three assertions is a matter of opinion .
