Zero down, no trade in. $263/month at 8.1%. I'm about to refinance as I can no longer stand Wells Fargo's inefficiency, and expect my new APR to be lower than 7%.

OK, you're reveling in illiteracy. Fun, I guess. To each their own.

I keep forgetting that correct spelling and/or grammar isn't important in today's society. The same could be said, I suppose, for civility... or wearing clothes in public.

How much did you guys pay for your Yaris?

I don't know if you guys have ever used Edmunds.com for pricing out new cars, but here's what it came up with for the Yaris I would order. If I were to order one I'd order a 5 speed LB in absolute red with the power package (PP), cold weather package (CP), rear spoiler (RF), and fog lamps (LF). Edmunds came up with an MSRP of $13925, a dealer invoice of $12,964, and a TMV price of $13,800.

I'm still waiting for my Bro-in-law to call me back (he's a Toyota salesman) to find out if he can cut me some sort of deal. I realize the markup on the Yaris is probably very small and the amount he may be able to save me will probably be small compared to if I was looking to buy a more expensive vehicle. If he's able to save me anything it'll probably be in the neighborhood of $500, but less than $1000, compared to the best I could get from any other dealership. But hey, $500 is $500!

How did/do you guys price your's out? Do you use Edmunds? If so, how close was your actual price to the price on Edmunds?

Oh yeah, according to Eloan, 100% financing of $13800 would work out to $415 a month for 36 months.

That seems pretty close to what I got. Mine is a 5 speed LB in Meteorite Metallic, with power pkg, cold-weather pkg, side and curtain airbags, arm-rest (which I didn't really want) floor mats/cargo area mat, keyless entry, and abs brakes (gee, I think that's it). The MSRP that I worked up on Toyota.com was about $14,200; their sticker was just over 14,600 and change, and I got it for just over $13,700, which they told me was their invoice for the car. Tax, tag and title brought it to $14,800. Financing, after $500 down-payment, was at 5.89% for 60 months at 276 a month. I'm so happy!

$153.30 72months 2,500 down- with that credit score i would just stop paying it and let it go, your youngman, your credit will get better, or get your mom to refinance it, or sell it to her, get out of that deal

Almost, good negotiating and the salesmen was a friend, but of course the dealer was not aware of that.

if they lost money on the deal, THE DEALER will find out. That's why your " salesman friend" surely would have not taken the chance to get himself in trouble...... Yes - THEY DID MAKE $$$$ on your Yaris ( on mine, too by the way )

Yes they did make money of the Yaris, he got his commission, they get these cars dirt cheap, along with the corolla. I could not have pulled this off if i wanted a tundra, tacoma, camry, etc... My friend would have not put his job on the line for a couple of hundred dollars, having him there help with the pre haggle BS, but beleive me getting a good deal is not as easy as just having a buddy for a car salemen, you still need to be smart about the situation. The fact is if given the gift of gab use it, most of us could have taken a few dollars off all our payments if we stuck with it. Remember it is okay to say no to a deal, unless that is the payment you are most comfortable with, I could have easily jumped on a $200 dollar payment and i knew as long as i stay near msrp i know they are still making a profit. One thing i did do for them was i bought lunch for 5 salesmen, a couple of costco pizzas I guess you can add another $40 to my down payment.

PS...remember the last day of any month is the best day to buy! It is all about numbers and if they meet sales goals toyota gives them bonuses this equals good deals for us.

The last 6 months of busting my ass at work have paid off. I just paid off my car in full=) Now all I have to do is to save up for a house.

60 Month Loan Agreement at 14 percent ( no credit at the time ). Paid off in 6 months.

oh, yes! we all admire you ! i did not realize they offer 14% apr loans for "no credit applicants"......... with apr that high i would bust my ass at work, too- just to save up and pay the bastards CASH....... by the way i truly hope that with coming high inflation in this country, interest rates on loans will become so ridiculously extortionate that more and more folks will make cash purchases-------- SCREW THE BANKERS
