I still have my original brakes at almost 282k miles. I just had my brakes checked in February....many more miles of life left. IIRC, my pads were under 40% worn at 208k miles (actual figure is on Kal-El's mileage thread). Yarisworld member trini_per4mance (an original owner who has more than 500k miles on his Yaris) didn't have to do any brake work at all on his Yaris until 400k miles.
